The Contemporary Music Days festival presents a tribute to György Kurtág, featuring the milestone work The Sayings of Péter Bornemisza, Op. 7. This unique concerto for voice and piano explores themes of confession, sin, death, and spring through twenty-four condensed movements. The performance also includes a new commission by Stylianos Dimou titled Through the Cracks of Bornemisza. This work consists of nine miniatures that alternate between acoustic and electroacoustic writing, creating a direct dialogue with Kurtág's original piece through interpolated movements and prerecorded recitations.
