Rejoice in a stunning reimagining of the Messiah shaped by hundreds of years of Black musical excellence combining Handel's masterpiece with Quincy Jones' reinterpretation. Handel’s visionary Baroque oratorio deploys soloists and choruses to magnificent effect. In 1992, late pop visionary Quincy Jones assembled a flawless line-up of musicians to deliver a new version. Handel’s Messiah: A Soulful Celebration was a marvel of original orchestration testifying to the power of Black sacred tradition. Messiah: Re-Imagined, created by composer and conductor Tom Randle, takes both works and combines and reinterprets them with elements of classical, gospel, jazz and rap to expand Handel's immortal music to embrace and inspire an even wider community.
