Emmanuelle Haïm reunites the Los Angeles Philharmonic with the choir from her acclaimed early music ensemble, Le Concert d’Astrée, for a special holiday celebration titled “Celebrating Christmas with Le Concert d’Astrée”. The program features Vivaldi’s Gloria, a jubilant choral masterpiece, along with his Concerti for Diverse Instruments. The performance opens with Corelli’s “Christmas Concerto,” a piece from 1690 that blends recognizable rhythms and abstract tempos from French dances.
