A nostalgic, raw baroque night.
Emmanuelle Haïm leads Le Concert d’Astrée in a new interpretation of Handel’s Messiah, a work she has long championed throughout her career. Having first encountered the masterpiece while working with Christophe Rousset and William Christie, Haïm has since conducted it extensively across Europe and the United States. This performance is part of her three-year Handel Project Festival (2025-2027). Written in less than a month in 1741, the Messiah remains a peak of Handel's inspiration and dramatic power.
