The Met Orchestra Plays Strauss
The Metropolitan Opera’s Met Orchestra makes its long-awaited Proms debut under Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin. This all-Strauss programme features a suite from Der Rosenkavalier and the autobiographical tone poem Ein Heldenleben. Celebrated South African soprano Elza van den Heever joins for the intense final scene of Salome. The performance showcases one of the world's leading opera orchestras in a programme of high musical drama.
