Yoshifumi Kondo (1950-1998) was a Japanese animator. He worked for Studio Ghibli in his last years, and was expected to become one of the top directors at Studio Ghibli, along with Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata.

He is best known for directing the beloved Studio Ghibli feature Whisper of the Heart and for his critical animation supervision on titles including Grave of the Fireflies and Kiki's Delivery Service.
Kondo was widely regarded as the successor to Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata until his untimely death in 1998.
