Seong-Jin Cho joins the Philharmonia Orchestra and conductor Santtu-Matias Rouvali for a performance of Tchaikovsky's celebrated Piano Concerto No. 1. The program also features Borodin's evocative musical portrait In the Steppes of Central Asia and Shostakovich's monumental Symphony No. 11, subtitled "The Year 1905," which depicts the historical events of the first Russian Revolution through sweeping orchestral narrative.
