A nostalgic classical night.
Riccardo Chailly, Music Director of La Scala and the Lucerne Festival Orchestra, reunites with the Orchestre de Paris for a programme highlighting his renowned interpretations of Russian repertoire. The concert centers on works inspired by Shakespeare's star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet, as seen through the compositions of Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev. The evening also features Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, bringing the theme across the Atlantic, alongside the poignant Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber.
