Brazilian percussionist Valtinho Anastácio brings the vibrant sounds of Brazil to the Zinc Bar. Born in São Paulo, Valtinho's musical journey began with the rhythms of the streets, mastering various percussion instruments including congas, pandeiro, and berimbau. His career features collaborations with legendary artists like Elis Regina, Milton Nascimento, Ryuichi Sakamoto, and Jaco Pastorius. Since relocating to New York City, he has performed with jazz greats such as Kenny Barron and McCoy Tyner, blending rhythm and melody through his expert percussion and vocal expression.
