An underground experimental jazz night.
Guitarist and composer Jeff Parker brings his ETA IVtet to the Lodge Room for a special performance in the round to celebrate the release of their album 'Happy Today'. The ensemble, which includes drummer Jay Bellerose, bassist Anna Butterss, and saxophonist Josh Johnson, evolved from a long-standing residency at the Los Angeles venue ETA. Known for their long-form, groove-oriented improvisations, the group has developed a unique musical language that blends minimalism with polyrhythmic and mantric textures. This performance follows the aesthetic of their latest live recordings, creating a hypnotizing and deeply-tuned listening experience.
