Brighton Philharmonic Strings: Dido and Aeneazz
Baroque, contemporary, rock, and improvisation meet as Brighton Philharmonic Strings return to Kings Place. Dutch jazz star and trumpeter Eric Vloeimans joins Joanna MacGregor for a programme featuring his new work Innermission and a jazz reimagining of Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas. The evening also includes Desyatnikov’s reimagined Ukrainian folksongs, Pachelbel’s beloved Canon in D, and a lively dance from Rameau’s Les Indes galantes.
