Bab L’Bluz opens the doors to Sahel blues and the ancestral music of the Gnawa people, blending it with psychedelic rock influences like Santana and Hendrix. Armed with electric guembris, the group merges Gnawa rhythms, Hassani chants from southern Morocco, and Chaâbi polyrhythms. Led by Yousra Mansour, the power quartet challenges conventions and represents the 'Nayda' youth movement in Morocco. Their music celebrates local heritage with lyrics about freedom in Darija, spreading their hypnotic riffs and deep grooves across global stages.
