The London Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of Principal Guest Conductor Karina Canellakis, presents an evening featuring Beethoven’s iconic Fifth Symphony. The program opens with the UK premiere of a new work by Dai Fujikura and continues with Elgar’s Violin Concerto in B minor, a work of romantic mystery and soaring melodies, featuring soloist Christian Tetzlaff. Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 concludes the night, tracing an epic musical journey from its famous tragic opening to a triumphant finale.
