Schools Concert: The Big Dreaming
An uplifting, underground classical night.
Pianist Annabelle Lawson and narrator Polly Ives present a musical story based on Michael Rosen's book 'The Big Dreaming'. This performance for children aged 3-7 and their families follows Little Bear's brave journey to find enough dreams of happiness, homecoming, and hope before the winter sleep begins. The concert features new music by Paul Rissmann, digital animations by Vic Craven, and classic pieces including Chopin’s Minute Waltz, Florence Price’s Ticklin’ Toes, and Hushabye Mountain. It offers a relaxed and friendly introduction to music and animation with songs and actions for the audience to join in with.
