Lang Lang, Andris Nelsons and the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra reunite for a residency focusing on Beethoven's mature piano concertos. This performance features the Third and Fourth Piano Concertos, which showcase the composer's formal audacity and mastery of the concertante language. The program also includes a rare work by Jörg Widmann: a completion of Beethoven's sketches based on the notes B-A-C-H, written in the early 1820s.
