The New York String Orchestra returns to Carnegie Hall for its annual December 24 concert. Music director Michael Stern conducts the ensemble alongside guest violin soloist Gil Shaham performing Barber's Violin Concerto. The program also features Beethoven's Symphony No. 8 and Overture to Die Geschöpfe des Prometheus, along with Vaughan Williams's Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis.
