A nostalgic sea shanties night.
The Longest Johns formed around a kitchen table in Bristol, where three friends discovered their shared love for sea shanties. As an a cappella folk group, the trio breathes new life into traditional folk with original arrangements and fresh songwriting. Their breakthrough came with a cover of 'Wellerman', a 150-year-old folk song from New Zealand that became a worldwide viral hit and sparked a sea shanty craze. This autumn, they bring their sea shanties to Melkweg.
