An underground classical piano night.
A piano recital by Daniil Trifonov at Carnegie Hall showcasing a wide-ranging repertoire. The performance begins with Handel's Suite No. 5 in E Major ("The Harmonious Blacksmith"), followed by Stravinsky's solo piano sonata and Schubert's "Wanderer Fantasy". The second half explores works by Latin American composers Villa-Lobos, Camargo Guarnieri, Ginastera, Juan Francisco García, and Landestoy, as well as an original Tango composed by Trifonov.
