The Philharmonia Orchestra, conducted by Simone Young, presents a programme featuring works by Richard Strauss and Johannes Brahms. The first half of the concert includes Strauss' Moonlight Music from Capriccio and a selection of lieder: Das Rosenband, Ständchen, Freundliche Vision, and Zueignung. The performance concludes with Brahms' monumental Ein deutsches Requiem (A German Requiem), featuring soprano Diana Damrau and baritone Gerald Finley.
