An underground, raw minimalism night.
Boundary-pushing organist James McVinnie performs Tristan Perich’s ambitious work Infinity Gradient. Designed for organ and 100 speakers in 1-bit audio, this immersive experience fills the medieval spaces of St Giles' Church with pulsating patterns of sound. Arrayed with 100 speakers across the performance space, the church itself vibrates and becomes part of the music in this groundbreaking one-hour, seven-movement tour de force inspired by the simplicity of maths, physics, and code.
