A nostalgic opera night.
The Orchestra of the 18th Century performs Handel's Messiah in the arrangement by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In this version, the famous oratorio receives a different tonal color, where Baroque lines are enriched with a classical orchestral palette. Mozart's arrangement maintains the directness and expressiveness of Handel's music while adding extra contrast and transparency, casting familiar choral sections and arias in a new light with attention to detail and dramatic tension.
