Mozart’s ‘Haffner’ Symphony
A nostalgic chamber music night.
The Academy of St Martin in the Fields highlights the French horn and bassoon in a programme featuring both classic and contemporary works. The concert includes the world premiere of Thea Musgrave’s new Bassoon Concerto, ‘Out of the Darkness’, alongside Mozart’s spirited Horn Concerto No. 3. Britten’s playful Simple Symphony, composed from themes he wrote as a child, and Mozart’s ‘Haffner’ Symphony round out the performance.
