200 Years of Ermoupoli
A nostalgic, slow-burn chamber music night.
The 2026 edition of the Syros International Music Festival features a series of five chamber music concerts at the historic Apollo Theater in Ermoupolis. Under the artistic direction of pianist Jonas Vitaud, the festival presents a diverse repertoire ranging from Spanish masterpieces and Brahms to contemporary works by composer-in-residence Sofia Avramidou. Special performances include a shadow theater project exploring Couperin's music and a gala concert celebrating the bicentenary of Ermoupolis with a blend of Romanticism, jazz, and traditional Greek melodies.
