A slow-burn, underground neoclassical night.
Musical voices from across the centuries unite in a performance exploring ritual, reflection, and transcendence. The programme features J.S. Bach’s Chaconne, famously described as the greatest solo violin structure, paired with accompanying chorales. Arvo Pärt’s Greater Antiphons provides moments of shimmering stillness and timeless devotion. The evening concludes with the London premiere of David Fennessy’s Blood, where solo violin flows through haunting choral textures and ancient chants merge with orchestral strings. This visceral work transforms primal vocal sounds into a powerful, resonant sonic landscape.
