Sir András Schiff’s compelling artistry rests on rock-solid foundations set down during formative studies with Pal Kadosa, György Kurtág and Ferenc Rados at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in his native Budapest and with George Malcolm in London, and on a profound degree of musical and human empathy. An exclusive artist with ECM New Series since the late 1990s, his recordings have harvested a host of international awards and prizes, Grammy and Gramophone awards among them.
