Klaus Mäkelä conducts the Orchestre de Paris alongside a trio of superstars. Pianist Martha Argerich, who performs only with musicians she holds in high regard, joins brothers Renaud and Gautier Capuçon for Beethoven's rare Triple Concerto. This unique work blends a grand concertante style with the intimate spirit of chamber music, focusing on lyrical charm rather than dramatic elaboration. The program also features Tchaikovsky's Second Symphony, which incorporates Ukrainian folk tunes, and Sofia Gubaidulina's Fairytale Poem, an allegorical work about a piece of chalk dreaming of freedom and creativity.
