Fanfare Ciocărlia

Fanfare Ciocărlia brings its rapid-fire Balkan brass sound to Grounds. The ten-piece ensemble combines Eastern European funk, driving rhythms, sweet and sour horn lines, and the kind of breakneck playing that has filled concert halls and festival fields across the globe. Known for remarkable speed and technical precision, the band turns trumpets, saxophones, tubas, and percussion into a restless wall of sound. Their concerts are loud, joyful, and difficult to experience while standing still. Fanfare Ciocărlia has released ten albums, several of which reached the top of the European World Music charts. After more than 3,000 performances worldwide, the group remains one of the most celebrated names in Balkan brass.
