David Arnay is a distinguished pianist and educator currently serving as a senior lecturer at the USC Thornton School of Music. Originally from Ithaca, New York, where he was part of the eclectic Zobo Funn Band, Arnay moved to Pasadena in the late 1980s and established himself in the Los Angeles jazz scene. Under the mentorship of Bennie Maupin, he has collaborated with top-tier jazz musicians and released several albums including Daddy's Groove and 8. His quartet features a high-energy lineup including John Leftwich, Brad Rabuchin, and Aaron Serfaty. This performance at the Birds of a Feather Jazz Lounge also supports a charitable cause, with a portion of ticket proceeds benefiting World Central Kitchen.
