Talib Kweli

Talib Kweli is an American hip hop artist from Brooklyn, New York. An influential figure in the alternative hip hop scene, he is well known for his work with Mos Def in the duo Black Star. Born into an academic family, Kweli's music often features afrocentric themes and social activism. He has released numerous solo albums, including his debut Quality, which featured the hit single "Get By," and The Beautiful Struggle. Throughout his career, Kweli has collaborated with major artists like Kanye West and The Neptunes and continues to lead his own labels, Blacksmith Records and Javotti Media.
