An underground classical night.
A musical dialogue between the piano and the accordion. While the pianist strikes the keys, the accordionist draws tone from the bellows, creating a characteristically different sound. The program explores this transformation of sound, from the mystical grain-circle-inspired works of Petra Strahovnik to the clarity of Vanessa Lann's pieces which cite Beethoven. The concert features world premieres by Piet-Jan van Rossum and Carlos Michans, highlighting the spiritual and technical interplay between these two keyboard instruments.
