Augustin Dumay is considered one of the greatest violinists of his generation. He rose to international prominence after a chance encounter with Herbert von Karajan, leading to performances with the Berlin Philharmonic. In this recital, joined by pianist Stéphane De May, he performs a program dedicated to Schumann and Brahms. The performance includes Schumann's poetics Fantasiestücke and Brahms' lyrical Violin Sonata No. 2, showcasing the depth and conviction of these romantic voices.
