The young Swedish-Norwegian violinist Johan Dalene returns to London to perform Brahms' warm and songful Violin Concerto. Led by British conductor Alpesh Chauhan, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra also performs a tempestuous overture by Louise Farrenc and Robert Schumann’s stormy and tender Symphony no. 4. The program highlights works charged with Romanticism, featuring both established masterpieces and neglected gems.
