Awen Ensemble is a seven-piece alternative folk-jazz outfit. Taking their name from the Welsh word for 'poetic inspiration', the band explores folkloric heritage, landscape, and emotional processes through expansive and expressive compositions. Their music blends modal and spiritual jazz traditions with British and Irish folk influences, featuring both vocal-led and instrumental works characterized by shimmering instrumentation and a unique Celtic mystique.
