A raw concerto night.
The Münchener Kammerorchester visits de Doelen with violinist Leila Josefowicz and conductor Bas Wiegers for a program where new music and classical repertoire strengthen each other. The evening centers on a new commissioned work by Trevor Grahl that explores the possibilities of the string orchestra. The program also features Bartók's Second Violin Concerto in a transparent chamber orchestra arrangement, followed by Haydn's Symphony No. 102, a work combining clarity, energy, and form.
