An underground chamber music night.
Part of the Contemporary Music Days festival curated by Ioannis Angelakis, this concert explores the saxophone quartet repertoire of contemporary Greek and Italian composers. The program centers on the work of Dimitris Nikolaou, a Greek-born naturalized Italian composer who produced a significant body of music for the saxophone. The performance features works by Alessandro Annunziata, Gianluca Cangemi, Giacomo Cuticchio, and Nikos Skalkottas, including several pieces specifically composed for this ensemble. The evening highlights the cultural and musical connections between Greece and Italy through modern acoustic exploration.
