Trumpeter Hugh Pascall returns to the Vortex with his dynamic quintet. Having toured together for several years, they perform music from his acclaimed 2025 album Viewfinder alongside brand-new originals. Expect melodic, exploratory grooves and atmospheric ballads from these unique musical voices. An award-winning trumpeter and composer, Hugh Pascall has developed a highly individual sound praised for its lyrical invention and warmth. His playing combines elegance with a vibrant, contemporary approach to post-bop jazz. He is an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music and has received significant acclaim throughout the jazz press.
