A raw orchestral night.
Experience a sun-drenched programme featuring the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The evening opens with Smetana's joyous comedy overture to The Bartered Bride, followed by Beethoven's youthful First Piano Concerto. Pianist Sunwook Kim directs the concerto from the keyboard, emulating the composer's own performance style. The second half is dedicated to Dvořák's Eighth Symphony, a work teeming with folk-inspired melodies, birdsong, and village band motifs that transition from a solemn hymn to a jubilant finale.
