A nostalgic opera night.
Daniel Harding, Music Director of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia since 2024, leads a programme dedicated to the works of Brahms and Strauss. The evening features Strauss’ early tone poem Don Juan alongside his poignant Vier letzte Lieder, composed sixty years later. These works are paired with Brahms’ Symphony No. 4, representing the height of the Austro-German symphonic tradition. Renowned Strauss interpreter Rachel Willis-Sørensen joins as the soprano soloist for this exploration of 19th and 20th-century masterpieces.
