The Black Angels
Hailing from Austin, Texas, The Black Angels are a psychedelic rock band influenced by the Velvet Underground, blending a swirling shoegaze sound with the raw energy of garage rock. Formed in 2004, the group took their name from a Velvet Underground track and quickly developed an underground following through performances at South by Southwest and the release of their debut album Passover. Their music has been featured in several television series and films. The band has collaborated with artists like Unkle and supported major acts such as Queens of the Stone Age and The Black Keys.
