Daughtry is a rock band from North Carolina, fronted by American Idol season 5 finalist Chris Daughtry. Drawing from 90s grunge and alternative metal, the group is known for a heavy-hitting sound that has remained consistent even as they have explored elements of folk and dance. Formed after Chris's successful run on American Idol, the band's self-titled debut was a major commercial success, leading to multiple hit singles.
