Chance the Rapper, real name Chancelor Bennett, is an American hip hop recording artist from Chicago, Illinois. He developed an early interest in music and formed a hip hop duo during his high school years. His career took off with the local success of his first mixtape, '10 Day', released in 2012. He achieved mainstream recognition with his second mixtape, 'Acid Rap', in 2013, which earned double platinum certification and over 800,000 downloads, leading to his first national tour across the US.
