Het Systeem Opening Concert: Joep Beving at Ter Hunnepe Deventer
An open-air, slow-burn neoclassical night.
Het Systeem is a love letter to electronic music, art, and soundsystem culture. From the afternoon sun to nightfall, Ter Hunnepe in Deventer becomes the playground for Het Systeem. New stages, a sharper line-up, and a site designed for wandering, getting lost, and discovering something unexpected. This year, the journey begins a day earlier. The festival opens with a special concert by Joep Beving — an intimate and contemplative opening moment, setting the tone before the system fully comes alive. At The Coalition, you’re pulled into a euphoric flow of house, garage, and trance. The newly designed stage opens up wide across the former monastery grounds, creating space to breathe and lift off. High-energy sets and nostalgic samples carry you from peak to peak, riding waves of collective euphoria. The Opposition The Opposition is where things turn raw, dark, and uncompromising. Tucked away between the trees, this vibey stage feels like an illicit rave hidden from the outside world. A mix of leading Dutch and international artists guide you through the grittier edges of electro, acid, and—of course—techno. Tijden van Nood: Winding your way between the two main stages, you’ll stumble upon Tijden van Nood, hosted by and named after the online radio phenomenon. This is where the weird & wonderful take over: from ambient to rare groove, from left-field electronics to deep bass explorations. If you’re into surprises, this is where you’ll want to linger.
