Ranie Ribeiro - Album Release

Join us this evening to celebrate the release of Ranie Ribeiro’s first harp mini-album ‘Contemplation’ with a screening of Evani Gild’s and Ranie’s short film followed by an intimate concert with Ranie Ribeiro and friends. Contemplation, a mini-album recorded during a period of reflection and personal growth that has gone through multiple iterations, shapes and life-changes. Contemplation plays out like you’re sitting in the room minding your own business as Ribeiro’s playing fades in-and-out from the corner, accompanying your thoughts, your chores, your life as it all passes you by. The film ‘Contemplation’, directed by Evani Gilds (Waka Nanga Mi, 40 Years of Dutch Hip-Hop), acts as an visual interpretation of the mini-album, where music, film, and spoken word come together therapeutically in a cinematic world. The experience concludes with an intimate concert with Ranie Ribeiro and collaborators Sydney Lowell (spoken word) and Felbm (flute).
