Juan Pablo Pastor is an Argentine drummer, recording artist, educator, and composer based in New York City. Born in San Luis, Argentina, his musical foundation began as a professional boy soprano before studying piano, guitar, and ultimately dedicating himself to the drums at age 16. After formal studies in Santiago, Chile, Juan trained for over a decade with internationally acclaimed drummer Gustavo Meli, developing a versatile style rooted in jazz, rock, fusion, and contemporary music. During this period, he became an active performer on Argentina's music scene and earned recognition as one of the country's top emerging drummers, and established himself as a respected drum educator. Since relocating to New York City in 2013, Juan has built a dynamic career performing, touring, and recording. His ability to move seamlessly across jazz, rock, blues, fusion, pop, and contemporary styles has made him a sought-after collaborator both on stage and in the studio. In addition to maintaining an active performance schedule, Juan teaches private drum lessons and leads workshops at Funkadelic Studios in New York City. On June 30 - 2026, he released his debut original single, "Coca Cola Jungle," marking the beginning of his career as a recording composer and bandleader, with more original music to follow.
