Underground καλλιτέχνης egg punk
Celebrating a decade of musical mischief, Berlin’s Gym Tonic have been carving out their own corner of the synth-punk genre. Forming in 2016 through a mutual love of Devo and desire to make music whilst having a damn good time, they have since toured throughout Europe and Canada, opened for acts such as, King Khan and the Spits, in addition to also sharing festival billings with bands such as Spiritualised, the Oblivians and Kid Congo. Gym Tonic’s music combines the melodies of new wave, post-punk and the energy and loudness of synth punk. The band’s compositions deal with the lightness and absurdity of being, whilst mixing dark humour with fun facts. . Above all, they are very serious about fun. Their debut album ‘Good Job’ (Et mon cul c’est du tofu FR/ Transistor 66 CAN) came out Spring 2019. It was re-issued in September 2023 along with the release of their new album Sanitary Situations on Phantom Records.
