In einer amerikanischen Kleinstadt im Jahr 1976 zelebriert die Highschool-Clique um Pink, Darla, Shavonne und Mitch den letzten Schultag. Neben der traditionellen Schikane der jüngeren Jahrgänge verbringt man seine Zeit damit, sich unbeschwert mit Alkohol und Drogen aller Art vollzupumpen und sich dabei so wenig Gedanken wie möglich um die Zukunft zu machen. Die nächtliche Abschlußfeier im Park gerät dann auch vollends aus den Fugen, sogar die unteren Klassen dürfen kräftig mitmischen.
