The history of the Dutch indie band Bettie Serveert goes back to the 90s, when they gained fame with an appearance at Pinkpop. Signed by the American label Matador Records after a showcase in New York, they broke through with their debut album Palomine (1992). Characterized by infectious, raw energy, their sound draws comparisons to grunge-era contemporaries like Nirvana, while citing influences from Buffalo Tom, Dinosaur Jr., and The Velvet Underground. Across a 35-year career and 17 albums, the band has built a loyal following in both the Netherlands and the US. Expect a selection of their greatest hits, personal favorites, and newer material like "Ta!".
