Guitarist and composer Jeff Parker presents his improvising ensemble, ETA IVtet, for a special series of performances celebrating the release of their album 'Happy Today'. The quartet, featuring drummer Jay Bellerose, bassist Anna Butterss, and saxophonist Josh Johnson, evolved from a long-standing residency at the Los Angeles venue ETA. Their music is known for transcendent, long-form improvisations that explore uncharted territories of groove-oriented, minimalist, and polyrhythmic sounds. These specific release shows feature the band performing in the round, creating a hypnotizing and intimate listening experience similar to the live recordings captured on the new album.
