An underground folk night.
Viktoriastraße 10-18, 12105 Berlin-Bezirk Tempelhof-Schöneberg
Experience a fusion of two musical worlds where West African traditions meet the introspective atmosphere of Nordic wide spaces and modern songwriting. Multi-instrumentalist Nils Kercher, along with his international trio, creates a vibrant soundscape using an array of percussion, kora, balafon, and guitar. The ensemble is joined by special guest Barou Kouyaté from Mali, a longtime collaborator and virtuoso of the Ngoni lute. Finnish artist Kira Kaipainen adds delicate vocals and evocative lyrics to the journey. The performance blends subtle compositions with a passion for driving rhythms, creating a powerful yet filigree balance that has resonated internationally in the global fusion scene.
