In A 24-Decade History of Popular Music, acclaimed theatre-maker Taylor Mac reimagines history as a dazzling, deeply personal musical experience. Spanning 240 years, this genre-defying work tells a subjective story of America through popular song, blending ballads, anthems, disco, and more into a bold and joyous theatrical event. Part concert and part performance art, Mac’s creation is as provocative as it is celebratory.
